02/20/08 - TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE

The February 20, 2008 lunar eclipse was ever bit as spectacular as the August 28 eclipse, perhaps moreso because Saturn and Leo's bright star, Regulus, were in close proximity to the moon - and Saturn was near opposition, to boot! Here are some stunning images captured of that eclipse. Above, Saturn lies to the lower left of the moon and Regulus rides overhead to the right. Click to see more images...

Jim! Nice Job! We are snowed in still and was unable to see the eclipse...this has been a real cold winter and i really long for those rainy Tacoma nights again.....good job on the visuals.

This is very cool! My friend in Bothell was looking forward to seeing the eclipse, but missed it for the cloud cover... he really liked your photos. Thanks for putting them out there for us all to see :-)
Hugs, Sylvia

Jim - I love the lunar eclipse pic! It's taken me, um, oh 3 weeks or so to figure out that you're ogling my spandexed belly. Tell Tina I say hi, and I hope to e-mail pretty soon.
